I tried to connect 2 pc (win-win and win-linux) to build a larger laboratory.
Besides not being able to create multiple vlan and send packets over a trunk, I found problems with ip-spoofing on the physical interface that I could never repair.
I can advise you to use multiple nic, and networks such as "host-only" for the local machines with a firewall to connect to the network share on a physical nic (nat 1:1)
A better option may be to use a physical ESXi where you can place the ESXi virtual machines.
