Re: Snapshots deleted and VM wont power on

Hi thanks for looking into this. Yes you are right, tried deleting the snapshot from the snapshot manager which didnt free up any space at all so ended up manually deleting one of the snapshot or atleast which I thought was a snapshot. I know this is a big NO NO, but the server wasnt needed anyways until now. I have attached the files requested.

I just looked into the vmwarelog file and realize this might be lost battle already as it indicates:The parent of this virtual disk could not be opened and I believe this is the file which was deleted by mistake. Can the vmx file be manipulated to get around this??

The guest was a windows 2000 server with three vmdk drives of size 15GB , 36GB and 209 GB, you can see the vmdk for the 36 and 209gb are intact, except for the 15 GB OS paritition is missing its parent I think.

All I need is a bunch files from the 209GB vmdk which was acting as a data partition. what are my options here if this vm cannot be powered on at all? thanks.
