Uplink port groups are distinctly different from normal port groups. There is absolutely no reason to have these security settings on uplink port groups, as they do not generate any frames themselves that could potentially be forged, as uplinks merely forward traffic for the attached vNICs/vmk interfaces. The security settings apply to normal port groups only.
