Thank you--I appreciate your help.
I went to the VMware Fusion® (for Mac) community page but under Actions, "Receive email notifications" and "Track in communications" had not been selected. I selected them and then selected their opposites, i.e., "Stop email notifications" and "Stop tracking."
Just for the record, though, I had never selected those preferences for that community before. I had not visited the VMWare forum for at least several weeks, but suddenly two days ago I started receiving notifications for threads I had not subscribed to.
